What this directory is

Cheltenham Paving Contractor Guide is an independent listing and comparison resource covering 34 paving contractor businesses working in and around Cheltenham. It exists for homeowners and property managers who want a straightforward way to compare local contractors before picking up the phone: driveway resurfacing, patios, block paving repairs, drainage work, and the general groundwork that comes with it.

We also generate enquiries for local providers. When you ask to be matched with someone, we pass your enquiry to providers relevant to your request and may receive a referral fee for doing so. That side of the business is disclosed in full on the quote page, and it never touches how a contractor is scored or ranked here. Referral arrangements are kept entirely separate from the rankings.

How listings are built

Each profile starts from public business data: registration details, service areas, trading history, and similar facts. We then synthesise recent Google reviews to understand how a contractor is actually performing on the ground, things like reliability, tidiness, quote accuracy, and follow-through on snags. We do not republish review text or copy star ratings wholesale. Instead, we link out to the business’s own Google listing so you can read the original reviews yourself.

How rankings are earned

Every position on this site comes from a published rubric applied to that data, nothing else. The full method, including what’s weighted and why, is laid out on our /methodology/ page, and it’s the same rubric for every contractor regardless of size or how long they’ve been listed.

A business can ask us to correct factual details on its own profile: an address, a phone number, a service it no longer offers. What it cannot do is edit its own score, the sentiment we’ve drawn from its reviews, or its ranking. Those stay independent of the business being listed.

Sponsorship, when it appears

Some pages may carry a placement clearly labelled “Sponsored.” These are shown in a separate section from the earned ranking, never blended into it, and no payment changes a contractor’s score or position on the list.

Who runs this

This site is published by Meridian Guides, which has run independent city directories for everyday services across Malaysia since 2025. Every Meridian Guides site scores businesses using a published method built on public customer reviews, rankings aren’t for sale, sponsored slots are labelled, and no fee ever buys a better score. Listings across the network are re-checked on a monthly cycle, and you’ll see a “last verified” stamp on each profile here showing that maintenance is active rather than a one-time snapshot.
